"That Girl"
This piece was inspired by Param’s debut track “That Girl”, produced by UK music artist Manni Sandhu. When I first heard the song, I was struck by the raw, folk quality of Param’s voice - mature and soulful, yet filled with youthful energy. Seeing the music video revealed an unexpected contrast: a 19-year-old artist delivering vocals with the power and confidence of someone far beyond her years.
The illustration captures that duality - the innocence and the strength - through an urban, scrapbook-inspired aesthetic. Layered textures, mixed-media collage elements, and expressive linework reflect her humble background and fearless personality. The goal was to visually echo the authenticity of her sound and the vibrant cultural bridge between India and the UK music scenes.
